They gave us a car and was hurried to leave, without checking to make everything right. We had some issues after we got to another city. They told us we can use our coupon when we drop off, but when we dropped off another people said we can't. They said they will figure out for us, but it's been a week our account is still locked and the one promised he will figure out the next day is out. They don't seem to be helping at all

I liked the car and the location was very convenient.

Cons:

Very slow pick up and drop off process. Not enough employees or they were just too busy. Lines of people inside and out the door waiting for help. No clear process to pick up or who is next. It was just very unorganized.

My initial rental was not ready on time and I was not given a discount or compensated then my rental was delayed until the next day and I was charged the same amount and the car was had to be downgraded to a five passenger suv instead of a seven. It was devastating because it was my birthday weekend and it messed up my plans.

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!

This was the worst car experience I ever had. My reservation was for 12pm but the car rental agency is. closed from 12pm - 2pm. When we showed up at 2pm they said because it had been two hours the reservation was cancelled and the car was already resold. BUT ITS NOT POSSIBLE as they were closed so how did they sell the car. Anyway they almost ruined our vacation but luckily there was a RENT - A - CAR across the street with a super friendly staff and ended up being cheaper. NEVER USE ALAMO IN DAX

They tried to rip me off! didn't provide me with a damage for the existent damage and the employee said will provide it latter but I took pictures before I use the vehicle. Now they are saying the car never been damaged and I have to be charged for the old damages as according to their system the car never been damaged and the vehicle year is 2021! I disputed it and sent my proves but it is very poor management and it is stress and anxiety no needs for me to go through I put down a cheaper options to be with reputable company but National/Enterprise prove me wrong.

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

The pick up experience was a mess. They didn’t have the car I booked and then wanted to “upgrade” me to something that wasn’t going to work for what I needed the car for. Ultimately, it was resolved by the customer service rep, but it delayed my trip and caused much frustration.

They refused to honor my reservation and claimed they had no cars but could make a special opportunity for me at $175 a day. As it was late at night I had to take their high price offer for one day but got them down $106 a day. We switched to Economy Rent-A-Car the next day at $84 for 4 days. Steer clear of Advantage. They are scammers and liars

It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!

2 day rental at a very low rate ($48). Expected to be taxed like crazy and pressured for upcharges, but this was a whole new level. Website not working or helpful in preparing an easy counter experience. App useless. At the counter, was told my NY/NJ EZ Pass I brought is useless unless I want to be double-charged. And, “FL no longer accepts cash at tolls, so renting the plate pass for $11/day, unlimited tolls, is cheaper than the fines if you end up on a toll road.” I could have navigated around all tolls on the trip, and there are clearly cash lanes at each toll booth. Plus, I pre-purchased Allianz rental insurance directly to avoid their overpriced option, but was told I could not rent the car without purchasing (at least) their liability option ($20/day). He said I was lucky b/c that is MUCH less than the $59/day full coverage. All in, my 2 day $48 car rental ended up at $128!! Still much less than the Big 3 but nearly 3x what I reserved. Finally, I don’t fully blame Advantage: CLEARLY the State of FL and the county are in on the visitor fleecing.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

When I placed the order for this car on CarRentals.com, I was charged $40.95 which was described as: "the total cost of this reservation". When I went to pick up the car at Hertz, I was told that the vehicle license fee and taxes were not included - and was charged an additional $6.74. This information should be fully disclosed at the time the reservation is made.

NU over charged me and said they would fix it when i returned the car. I asked for a receipt and they wouldn't give me one, said it would be emailed but i never got it. They owe me $40.82. when i called, the phone rang and rang. There is no email address, no other way of contacting them.

It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

I loved the car loved the easy pick up and return of the rental car. The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. Pickup and return of the rental car to the CVG Cincinnati airport was superb. Returning a car quickly is so important with the pressure of getting it done before the flight time. The staff I worked with at CVG was excellent both in picking up the car and returning it.

Car was good and price was great , although the waiting times to pick up the car was quite high since only one person was working. In addition the worst part was when the drop off occured where there was no physical person and the car park was full and there was no space to park the car safely, we called the appropriate number but there was no people speaking proper English to guide us had to leave the car in a bad way parked which stressed us as all sorts of issues could occur, can expect one floor of car park to accommodate all the rentals.

Loved the 2024 Subaru Outback and a dream car to drive with 7k miles. Last rental with Alamo 2 weeks ago was a old Malibu with too many miles and should be retired. First experience with Dollar and a 10 star everyone was so nice!

This would have been a good experience apart from two things: 1) the repeated pestering texts and e-mails insisting that I check in online in advance, which I tried to do but the system didn't work; and 2) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited for over half an hour to speak to someone in India who was hard to understand and then in the end said she couldn't do anything to change my pick-up time because I had booked through a third party service, and gave me a non-functional phone number to try to reach the airport desk. What a pity. The car was fine and the airport pick-up staff were fine. But I will never use Dollar again because that company wouldn't let those people just do their job.

Easirent did not post their hours. When we arrived at the airport the only thing we could do was rent from another car company. They closed at 6pm and our plane landed at 6:05. Instructions were unclear and hopefully I am not charged as I will dispute the charges since no services were rendered.

Line was long, I book my car for 12 but by the time i get my car it was 2pm, they never have the car I booked for, I booked a RAV-4 and they gave me a small sedan, they offered me other car that was smells and some some car the key doesn’t work properly.

Nothing was good. I will never use them again, or Kayak for that matter. There was no (obvious) mention of the fact that the facility closes at 6 pm. No other airport rental car facility closes that early. My flight landed at 5:50 and by the time I got off the plane and called for thier (call-to-arrange) shuttle, they had closed and there was no one even answering the phone at 5:59 pm. I had to Uber all over town to dinner, hotel, meetings, lunch and back to the airport. Never had a more worthless rental car experience.
